838 Pro began well for about 4 months, now it freezes up when the telephone is used. Assuming the ROM was corruped , I downloaded the file from the HTC/DOPOD club and reistalled everything. still not cured.
The phone simply freezes up, it can happen even when its on power save mode with blank screen.
Nothing other than removing the battery can restart it.
Anyway not for too long.. what next I ponder.

Ideas welcome

Hi, I myself using 838 Pro and I truely agree with you on the functions and features.

Just got tips from your page on the QuickMark application. Will give it a try.

Thanks a lot.

Hugo - I use the keyboard a bit, yeah. I think the phone is okay - the usual problems with a Windows PDA, ie its slow and needs to be re-booted a few times every day to keep memory leaks down - but all in all I havent seen anything else in this market that gives me 3G and Wifi.

What's your review still for this Cam? Do you ever use the keyboard? Is the dopod 810 a better buy for the GPS (http://www.ow.com.au/shop/product_info.php/products_id/1586)?
It's either one of these or a Nokia N95 - better camera and video and has GPS, but no touch screen and running Symbian.
