great show Cam. I really appreciate you letting us know what has been transpiring. The part I liked best is where you realised that you have built so much in such a short amount of time. Stick with it.

Cam:

I feel your pain and wish you all the best. What I really understand is how you feel about going it alone. It was a lesson that I learned the hard way - it took me about 5 years to recover from the first go at atomic engines.

Now I have some great partners helping me with Adams Atomic Engines, Inc. My best advice to you is not not be afraid to talk and share like you did today; you will find out just how many people care about the important work that you are doing.

I also wanted to chime in with the other hosts - like Wayne - who are grateful for the platform that you are providing. Even though the statistics show that there are only about 300 or so listeners for each Atomic Show so far, I have already established some long distance friendships and potential partnerships. With your help, my very niche show is growing at a pretty respectable rate.

Take care and know that we are with you.

Good luck with everything Cam, you've got the talent so if anyone's going to succeed at this it's you. Keep leading with the chin. Is that the right thing to say? Perhaps you should lead with your fist. Yeah, that's better.

I'm one of those blokes who doesn't answer emails sometimes... sorry abou that. :(

Great show, I have been listening to GDAY world since the off and love it, please could you create a voluntary subscription system which would allow people who want to pay to subscribe?
I have an idea for you on sponsorship, get listeners to nominate who they would like to sponsor the shows they listen to? A sort of revers audience profiling, I listen to the tablet pc show and think that others who also listen to it might be interested in hearing about software that works very well on a tablet so I nominate Mindjet. You can then go and approach mindjet with this unique info. Keep up the good work, I listen to every gday world episode and could not do without it!

Thanks for the nods of support folks. Dave, you're right of course, there are LOTS of people to contribute to the success of TPN, from the hosts like yourself to the supports like Tony, Molly, Ken, etc. It's all part of the community. But at the end of the day, I do feel like if it works it'll be because of people like that - and if it fails, it's my fault alone. :-)
I'm ultimately the guy who owns the company and has to make the day-to-day decisions and come up with the creative ideas. And while that is all part of being an entrepreneur, and I love it, it's also slighty daunting at times. :-)

Great show, Cam and Rich (and good to have you back Rich...not that I didn't enjoy Fang a great deal as backup host!)

Interesting to hear the insights into what's going on...that, in and of itself, is very New Media/Web 2.0/whatever you want to call it. I SINCERELY hope that things work out for TPN; I'm doing whatever I can to beat the drums for ya! I even started voting over at Podcast Alley, even though I find it very "old media" feeling.

About to go out and run, so I'll quite possibly have a vcomment once I get back! *grin*

Thanks for sharing this inside stuff with us all, Cam! Running a start up is tricky business, especially when investors get involved.

Glad to hear that you're feeling good about things again and continuing to do what you do best: build a great network!

Cam (and Rich too). Thanks for this show, and thanks for everything you're doing at TPN. Without it, I'd still be banging my head against the wall griping about the fact that I have no way to reach the world... literally the world..... hang in there guys.

Cam. Great show. Should be more of it, not less. Openness is the new media way mate.

You talk collectively a lot, saying what 'we' are building yet it seems at times you feel you're on your own. In my mind you're not alone. I think the 'we' in TPN is huge. As a host I feel part of it. I think your hosts especially can be support for you if you're needing it. Ozzie mates are hard to beat!

Thanks for the mention Cam. It isn't an obscene amount of money I donate to you for TPN. The reason I do it is I support the ideal behind podcasting and think what you doing is a great idea and in the long run will be recognised by the advertising gurus as a profitable means to advertise.

I am much like Thomas as I have often thought of doing a podcast but I don't think I can pull it off without another person to co-host and about something I have a real passion about. There are a lot of thinks I am interested in but not really anything I am passionate about if that makes sense.

The show was great, good to have Rich back and be strong as you have tons of supporters who want you to succeeed.

Great show dudes (and even better promo over on ewan's blog - glad I dug out the pipe n slippers afore listening).

Hang in there - we would all be worse off without TPN.

Great show guys. Good to have Rich back. Good to hear about what really goes on behind the scenes at TPN. Hope things pick up for you soon. Sounds like you've been through hell, I had no idea. I just wish that I was in a financial position to help out, but I'm strugglin along on my $30,000 a year wage. Surely there are other listeners out there though that can afford to help out. Keep your chin up Cam, there are better days ahead man! Cheers, Nathan.

Hey dude,
A couple of things:
1) Whats the spell check plugin you using?
2) Stick with it!
3) What ever happened to the donate button?
4) If you ever need someone to bounce ideas off, I might be able to help
